Buzan Writing Skills® (Secondary)
This is an introductory programme to Secondary School writing covers the following key learning:
- Analysing literary, expository, argumentative and persuasive texts
- Constructing expository, argumentative and persuasive essays
- Responding to literary works and unseen poetry or prose
Key Learning:
- Learn to analyse issues and complex arguments with a balanced perspective and open mind
- Learn to appreciate and evaluate a variety of written texts and literary forms
- Learn to communicate effectively in writing and speaking
- Monitor their own thought processes while reading and writing
- Learn the skills to form and put forth sound arguments
- Learn to recognise the intricate relationship between language and their own thoughts
- Different instructional techniques will be provided before we attempt the writing task in these sessions.
